Construction on the new Spring High School is underway. Our team fabricated the steel for the project and has worked closely with the concrete, masonry, grade beam, and canopy contractors to ensure all building lines, elevations, and layouts were properly aligned before steel erection began. Our team is proud to be a part of the project and work with General Contractor Stewart Builders to help bring it together.

Project Overview

The new Spring High School was part of a 2022 bond that was passed by voters and designed to accommodate around 3,500 students. The school is being built on a 200-acre lot. Our team fabricated 2,789 tons of steel for the 680,640 square foot project. The high school will include athletic facilities, an auditorium, lobby spaces, an arena, a library, and more.

Project Stats & Details

Total Tons of Steel: 2,789 tons

Project Square Feet: 680,640 sq. ft.

General Contractor: Stewart Builders

Early Coordination & Construction

Our team had to coordinate and work closely with other contractors to ensure building lines aligned properly, elevations were accurate, layouts matched across trades, and the structural steel installation could proceed efficiently. With a large-scale project like this, even a small discrepancy can impact the construction schedule. In the early phases of construction, we worked with concrete, masonry, grade beam, and canopy contractors to mitigate this and stay on schedule.

Structural Steel & Fabrication

Many of the structural steel components are fabricated in our shop. The fabricated pieces are delivered to the site and assembled by the erector. Fabricating the steel helps improve precision and streamlines the project.
